1st Place 2007 Jr. Nationals Middleweight

I am a personal trainer and part gym owner from Jackson, Tennessee. I am married and have 4 children, all grown. I have been in the fitness industry for about fifteen years and really enjoy motivating people.

I started working out in 1988 with weights and entered and won my first show in 1990, the Big River Classic in Memphis, TN. The next year I entered and placed second in the Southern Classic in jackson, MS.

About this time I suffered an injury to my shoulder which prevented weight training at the bodybuilding level. At that point, I began focusing on my work in the fitness industry, teaching group fitness, cycling and personal training. During this period I competed in triathlons and half marathons.

In 2006 after, fourteen years away from bodybuilding, I decided to try competition again. I first entered and won the lightweight and overall at the Vulcan Classic in Birmingham Alabama. In June '06, I entered and won the lightweight and overall at the Southern Classic in Jackson, Mississippi qualifing for national level competition.

I train six days a week and cardio an hour a day in contest season and half an hour in the off season.
