Models
come in all shapes and sizes. Here at Bodybuilder Females we
are mostly concerned with female fitness models or at least
models who are fit. When many think of models, they think of
ultra-thin women such as Twiggy of the 60's or today's super
models. They can be attractive, but many women have discovered
that they can shape their bodies by adding a little muscle,
rather than simply starving themselves to be rail-thin.
Female
bodybuilders, fitness & figure competitors, female fitness
models and female athletes all have muscle as their cornerstones.
Muscle gives a body shape and performance.
Most would agree that fitness models, such as Rosa-Maria Romero
on the left, look healthier than Twiggy or even today's "super
models." Maybe it's just easier for clothing designers
to have a shapeless stick figure upon which to drape their latest
creations. Unfortunately, this unhealthy look has been popularized
to the point where many young women have severe eating disorders.
It is our hope that the healthier model will also become the
new role-model.
